Custom Model Train Display Cases
Why should you display your trains?
You have experienced a joy for model trains since your childhood and want to share it with others. Setting up a layout and operating your trains gives you hours of fun and enjoyment, yet many have more than one train set. What does one do with the other trains? Should they be packed away for their protection and preservation?. You want to do this, but why not display them for all to see and enjoy at the same time as protecting them from dust in the air and the little hands of future train engineers. This is why you need a well built display case that you can be proud of in your family room or office.
Why use a custom model train display case from TAM Industries?
You deserve nothing but the best in the way of quality and appeal. Each case is made of high quality oak wood and acrylic materials, and hand crafted to meet your demands. No need to worry about scratching the furniture since each case is supported by heavy duty felt pads. The Modern Line come to you with a clear acrylic cover and ready to use. Each Executive Style display case will be delivered as a kit that can be assembled within 30 minutes. Everything you need is included (instructions, epoxy, a string clamp, and felt pads). Please note the assembly instructions at the top of the page.
All models of our display cases are designed to maximize the beauty and detail of your prize train models. The standard inside lengths of the display cases are 36”, 30”, and 24” for "O" Gauge, Standard Gauge, and “G” gauge trains. An 18” model is available for “O” gauge trains.
For the "HO" and "N" modelers we carry a line of 9", 13", 18" and 24" Desktop Display cases. These are formed clear acrylic domes on an oak base, colored on the same hues as the larger models. They come with or without track installed. The perfect gift of a young engineer to showcase their prize engine or rolling stock.
If your needs are for a larger case than those standard sizes, contact us for a quote so we can meet your model train displaying needs.
We have many satisfied customers over the years. Here are just a few of them.
May 10th is one of the most important dates in railroading history.
Today marks the 150th Anniversary of the driving of the Golden Spike (also known as The Last Spike). It was a ceremonial 17.6-karat gold final spike driven by Leland Stanford to join the rails of the First Transcontinental Railroad across the United States connecting the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroads on May 10, 1869, at Promontory Summit, Utah Territory.
Here I have placed the Central Pacific Jupiter and the Union Pacific #119 in the same positions as they were in that historical day. They are mounted on an 18” HO Presentation Line display case. This display is featured on Facebook. Go to the link below.
We are on Facebook. Here you can add comments and upload photos of your display cases in use. Visit us on facebook.com/TAM.IndustriesOnline/.
